Car Show

Tour de Terrace provides the perfect family-oriented weekend activity. Boasting classic car shows, parades, carnivals, beer gardens, live music performances, and food vendors, businesses, as well as arts and craft makers with local or legacy ties, can rent booth space at this three-day festival.

The Mountlake Terrace Festival is an annual Seafair-sanctioned summer event that draws thousands of people to Mountlake Terrace every year. Established by two residents, Jerry and Judi Smith, in 1994 to generate community pride, it runs solely with volunteer help from its participants.

This year’s car show showcased over 80 vehicles competing for 16 awards in various categories. On display were Evergreen Playfields 4 and 5, where viewers cast ballots to vote for their favorite car; viewers cast votes via ballot boxes in Evergreen Playfields 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, and 11. Voters selected their top choice vehicle to receive a trophy as the overall favorite, plus prizes were awarded in additional categories like Best Work in Progress, Most Unusual Entry, and Rat Rod, among many more.

After the death of her husband, Jerry, in 2018, Judi Smith has continued organizing Tour de Terrace as an advocate for Mountlake Terrace and to keep its spirit alive. Along with running Tour de Terrace, she’s actively been involved with the Arts of Terrace Juried Art Show as well as volunteering at Coffee with the City, caring deeply for Mountlake Terrace while always looking for opportunities to give back.

Parade

At any Seafair event, a parade is one of the main draws – and Terrace Tour de Terrace’s Parade is no different. Notably featured are celebrities, classic cars and motorcycles on display, fantastic floats, drill teams from Mountlake Terrace High School athletes, and pirates representing Seafair itself. Beginning Friday at 7 p.m. along 56th Avenue West from 234th Street Southwest up 56th Avenue West until Evergreen Playfield at 222nd Street Southwest; streets will remain closed along its route well into its conclusion at Evergreen Playfield at 222nd Street Southwest until approximately 10:30 p.m.

The festival provides a street fair, beer garden, pancake breakfasts, and live music as part of its lineup of activities. Vendors include arts and crafts vendors as well as commercial businesses who prioritize local vendors with legacy ties to the community for priority placement at their booths. Admission to the event itself is free, but guests may pay to partake in carnival activities like fun runs/walks or mini golf if desired.

Mountlake Terrace and neighboring communities come together each July for this three-day Seafair-sanctioned celebration, organized and sanctioned by Mountlake Terrace itself and Seafair Washington. Events include a parade, carnival rides, live music performances, and a fireworks display – bringing community spirit and pride. It takes place within Mountlake Terrace, Washington, city limits.

Street Fair

The Street Fair at Tour de Terrace features art and craft booths run by local artists, as well as beer gardens, food vendors, and carnival rides. There’s live music during the day or fireworks on offer during the evening – and admission to this free event may vary according to carnival activities or mini golf activities purchased separately.

This year’s parade begins at 7 pm and travels along 56th Avenue West from 234th Street to 222nd Street SW near Evergreen Playfield Complex. Celebrities, classic car, truck, and motorcycle show participants, fantastic floats, drill teams from Mountlake Terrace High School athletes, and Seafair pirates will also be present to delight and surprise children alike!

At this festival, you can shop for handmade crafts and souvenirs at the Street Fair, which opens its doors at 4 p.m. Friday and runs through Sunday afternoon. Additionally, many artists will perform live on the music stage throughout the weekend, and Davis Shows Northwest offers rides.

This year’s organizers of Mountlake Terrace and neighboring communities’ Seafair-sanctioned summer festival hope to involve even more people. Volunteers are especially needed for food and beverage service, keeping the area clean, organizing trash bins, etc. For more information, visit their website.
